Infrared and Negative Ion FAQ's

Caleb Roberts

Here are some of the most common questions regarding infrared/far-infrared and negative ions.

Q: What is far-infrared ?

A: Far-infrared is a spectrum of energy found in nature, one of many vital rays from the sun. Unlike (potentially harmful) ultraviolet rays, infrared and far-infrared rays are stimulating in a beneficial way. Far-infrared heat has been shown to penetrate deeper in the body than a conventional heating pad.

Q: What is far-infrared good for, Why would I want to use it?

A: Far-infrared has been shown to increase local circulation, enhance the functioning of the immune system, increase nitric oxide production, and stimulate recovery. This means that far-infrared heat penetrates the body deeper and also gives you extra benefits that a regular heating pad doesn’t.

Q: Why is Nitric Oxide important:

A: Nitric Oxide is important because it plays a role as a messenger in many systems in the body, including the nervous system and the cardiovascular system.

Q: What are negative ions?

A: Negative ions are a naturally charged particle or ion that are commonly found in nature in places with fresh air, running water, and after lighting storms. Negative ions have been found to produce a calming and refreshing sensation.

Q: Why can’t I see the far-infrared energy?

A: Far-infrared energy is invisible, but it can be felt as heat. On a spectrum of energy, far-infrared, infrared, and near-infrared, are all forms of energy that are not visible to the human eye.

Q: Why do you use Jade and Tourmaline stones in the far-infrared heating wraps?

A: Jade and Tourmaline are good conductors of far infrared and can pass the energy and heat along smoothly and evenly.
